Reservation Specialist
Location: Belgrade
The Role:
The role of Reservation Specialist is to deliver the services of the department in accordance with objectives and standards.
It involves working with hotels\suppliers to make reservations, operate files, negotiate or renegotiate rates with them.
He/she works closely with the department supervisor and the operations manager.
This is a very hands-on role in a challenging and competitive environment. The role requires lots of energy, enthusiasm and a “can do” attitude.
The Responsibilities:
- Deal with all travel agent requests in a timely and professional manner, for both FITs and groups, finding operational solutions to all challenges
- Check rates with hotels and third party suppliers and send quotations, confirmations and/or amendments via tour plan
- Arrange advance payment from agents who do not have credit facility
- Manage allocation charts for all the bookings to ensure that all allocation bookings are recorded and coordinated with respective hotels
- Become fully knowledgeable about the products, destinations and services offered across the company to ensure he/she has the widest product knowledge within the business and can appropriately deal with all product enquiries
- Promote the company products and services to maximize sales opportunities
- Be able to prioritize workload and demonstrate good organizational skills by finishing tasks within allocated time
- Use methodical approach with particular attention to detail for all the inquiries
- Attend training sessions and meetings where applicable
- Establish good relationships with agents and suppliers aiming to meet their expectations
- Maintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality and integrity
- Be a team player with an enthusiastic attitude and maintain positive work relationship at all times
Our ideal candidate needs to have:
- Superb command of English, both spoken and written, and exceptional communication and negotiating skills
- 2 yrs of experience in similar job
- Thorough knowledge and work experience of tours/leisure holiday operations
- Ability to do costing, calculate taxes, commission and net rates and operate files independently
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Willingness and readiness to carry out frequent travels abroad at short notice
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
