On behalf of our client from hospitality industry, luxury hotel chain located in Mexico – Karisma Hotels & Resorts (www.karismahotels.com), we are looking for an experienced professional to fill in the following position:
Senior Corporate Travel Agent
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Arrange domestic and international air and hotel accommodations as requested for company
employees, primarily executives, in compliance with corporate travel policies
• Issue itineraries and tickets
• Determine the most efficient way to make flight connections
• Process ticketing/refunds/exchanges
• Data entry into the GDS
• Check queues daily to ensure accuracy and that all issued tickets are complete
• Develops, implements, and maintains traveler profiles for all necessary employees
• Ensures that employees receive and understand all travel requirements for domestic
destinations including but not limited to security and safety consideration, weather
information, baggage restrictions, cancellation/change penalties
• Ensures that employees receive and understand all international travel requirements
including but not limited to passport and visa requirements, inoculation requirements, security
and safety considerations, currency information/assistance, and customs regulations
• Completes all necessary paperwork; maintains files and records
• Provides accurate and timely reports as required
• Negotiate with vendors for best rates
• Creates policies and procedures
• Perform additional related duties
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of corporate travel experience required
• Fully proficient/ advanced level expertise with reservation system, Amadeus is required
• Overall travel industry knowledge and experience
• Competent with all aspects of ticketing transactions like ticketing, exchanges, and voiding of
tickets
• Knowledge in booking international and domestic travel
• Must have exceptional follow-up skills and be able to work independently
• Strong organization and time management skills. Must be able to handle various issues
simultaneously and prioritize
• Must possess excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively in a business environment
• Fluent in English and Spanish preferred
• Must have flexibility working within the call center business hours as needed
