For our IT Help Desk Team in Belgrade, we are looking a dedicated professional to fulfill the following position:
IT Help Desk Technical Engineer
About the role:
IT Help Desk Technical Engineer is responsible for providing support to all employees including those working from remote locations. IT Help Desk Technical Engineer should be autonomous, meticulous, well-organized and be very capable of communicating effectively with end-users and contractors. The core of the role is not only to manage day-to-day IT issues/requests, but also make sure our standards are respected in all the centres. IT Help Desk Technical Engineer is responsible for handling all the in-coming questions from all sites’ end-users via ticketing system and phone.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, document and troubleshoot user issues. Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware and software problems and escalate to the correct party if needed.
- Resolve customer submitted requests or tickets, collaborate and work with other IT teams to resolve issues.
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues and escalate to the correct IT team if necessary.
- Configure and troubleshoot Windows/Linux related issues.
- Receive technical support calls, troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Test new technologies for possible implementations.
- Responsibilities may change as the business grows and so therefore any candidate will need to be able to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
- Provide overall relationship management and coordinating required resources to respond to complex IT requirements.
- Write test plans, test cases, test reports and user manuals if needed.
- Report to Help Desk manager periodically on the performance/improvement.
ISO Duties:
- Participate in security related trainings.
- Conduct security related activities assigned to this position.
- Follow security related requirements when fulfilling the responsibilities of this position.
- Report security incidents to the supervisor when detected.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Minimum 1+ year of relevant experience.
- Knowledge with Windows is required: Windows 7 – Windows 2k8 Server is required.
- Knowledge with MS Active Directory is required.
- Experience with Linux is a plus.
- Knowledge with Cisco routers & switches is a plus.
- Excellent English verbal and writing skills.
- Professional approach and fast responsiveness in resolving the tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit; ability to work well with people with diverse cultural background.
- Strive for high levels of customer service and customer satisfaction.
- Must be detailed-oriented, quality-conscious and able to interface effectively via phone or email with both technical and non-technical clients.
- The desire to learn and grow through teamwork, tech sites, books or contribution to open sourced projects in a fast-growing company.
- Ready to travel abroad on short term missions.
